History

 

Edward Jackson Hamilton grew up in Hamlet, North Carolina working part time at the Pee Dee Advocate in Bennettsville and the News-Messenger in Hamlet as a linotype operator, and columnist writing his column known as "The News Reel". He was a typewriter mechanic, fire extinguisher salesman and serviceman, a motion picture projectionist and a promoter of professional wrestling and boxing in his spare time. In October 1941, he joined the Army, was assigned to the 69th Infantry Division and reached the rank of Master Sergeant during his 48 months of service. Jack returned home and worked for the Marlboro Herald Advocate printing the paper and repairing typewriters. In 1954, Jack established his own company, Hamilton Office Supply Company. The business model has changed a little, but we are still here, happily serving our customers and offering the type of service E. Jack would be proud of! Give us a try, let us earn your business.
